Normally we should be excited about an upcoming compact SUV from BMW because it’s a mouth watering recipe, the combination of BMW driving pleasure and the coolness of a compact sport utility. But given the BMW design, it is more of a disappointment! As you see in these pictures of the production model, despite the light camo, it’s obvious that BMW X1 is not a beauty!

The car shares many parts with the 3-series so like the X3 it’ll be a jacked up sedan absolutely useless in rough terrain. And don’t let these dust-kicking pictures fool you! you can drive on this surface with a Ferrari, this ain’t no off-roading!

Anyhow, the BMW X1 will start around 30,000 Euros for the basic model with diesel engine and for that you get a car which is really ugly, doesn’t have more space than the equivalent sedan, the ride is worse and is not a proper SUV as they say it is!
