A few days ago we had in news that Lingenfelter is working on a project for 2009 SEMA show in which they are trying to revive the legendary Pontiac Trans Am using a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro! Well, here it is, the Pontiac 455 TA. And although it does not look as charming as the original Firebird, it is a nice try and would inspire other tuners to come up with modern day Trans Ams! After all GM made a mistake killing the Pontiac brand and all of its legacy.
Every panel of the Camaro has been redesigned to resemble the Trans Am, and that led to a complete facelift for the front and rear Fascia. It also features classic Honeycomb design wheels which come in 20-inch size and NITTO tires.
The power of Lingenfelter’s Firebird comes from a modified 7.5 liter GM V8 which develops 655 hp. So while the car’s appearance might not live up to the expectations, its engine would beat them eadily.
