The drop-top version of the Lamborghini Aventador is at least two years away, but thanks to EPA we have learned some facts about it already.

The American Environmental Protection Agency has created a page for the Aventador Roadster on its website, which confirms initial details of the car like the engine, transmission, drivetrain and of course fuel consumption. Other details that are currently unknown will be updated within the same page when they become available.

According to EPA, and unsurprisingly, the Roadster will get the same 6.0 liter V12 engine as the hard top with 700 PS, same 7-speed single-clutch transmission and same four-wheel-drive system. It has average fuel consumption of 11 mpg in city, 17 mpg highway, and 13 mpg combined. The Aventador Roadster will have annual fuel cost of $4729 (45% highway, 55% city driving, 15000 annual miles) based on today’s prices, and will emit 14.3 tons of CO2 in that period.

Keep an eye on this page for updates.
