So far we only had a couple of heavily P’shopped photos of the stunning Opel/Vauxhall Astra OPC/VXR. Now check it out in some live pictures.

This hot hatchback is a thing of beauty from every angle. The Astra used to be such a bland car that you could lose it in a supermarket parking lot. But with the previous generation they revolutionized its design, and they reached a peak with this new one.

The OPC is a bit more aggressive than normal Astras and that’s what makes it so cool. It gets revised bumpers with nicely designed air intakes at front, a diffuser and very fancy exhaust tips, as well as side skirts and a roof spoiler. It also gets wheels from the Insignia OPC.

To back up its awesome looks, Opel has equipped the OPC with a 2.0 liter turbo engine developing a massive 280 hp and 400 Nm of torque. They have packed the car with electronic stuff to keep that fury under control, but there is only so much you can do to make a 280 hp front wheel drive car behave itself.
