Some say the Bugatti Veyron is awesome because when you’re doing 250 mph in it, it feels like you’re doing 50. That is nice. It shows how brilliantly the car is made. But it also kinda spoils the point. when you are doing 250, you want to feel the thrill of doing 250. Luckily, there’s another car that can deliver the sense, and then some. It’s the Koenigsegg Agera R, and after the jump there’s a video of it ripping apart the Nurburgring’s main straight at 249.5 mph.

The magnificent Agera R is powered by a 1,140-hp V8 engine and does not have most of the Veyron’s fancy modern features. But for sheer motoring pleasure, it blows the W16-powered VW out of the water. It is loud, brutal, beautiful, and more awesome than the Bugga. It is just as expensive though.
