Lamborghini SUV to be Called Urus, Not Deimos

As we get closer to the 2012 Chinese motor show in Beijing, we’re starting to receive more accurate reports about the cars that will be on display at the show. One of the most anticipated cars of this year’s show is the Lamborghini SUV. Turns out this car is called the ‘Urus’ not ‘Deimos’ as previous reports suggested. Lamborghini trademarked Deimos a couple of weeks ago, and that sparked the rumor it is for the new SUV.

So Urus it is. It makes more sense than Deimos as well. Deimos is apparently the god of thunder and horror, but it’s not a bull! And every Lamborghini should be named after a bull. Urus is indeed a bull, and a pretty strong one no less. As with the car, the word is it is five-feet long, has high ground clearance, and will have a 600 hp engine to be the fastest 4×4 in the world.

The Beijing car is of course a concept. The actual Lamborghini Urus might not arrive until 2017.
