A Jaguar XF 3.0 Diesel S, entered by privateer team Carvell Motorsport in the 2012 Nurburgring 24 Hours proved its worth by taking the class win. What’s more, it finished as the leading diesel-powered vehicle. Powered by a 3.0 liter V6 Diesel developing 300PS and 600NM of torque, the racing XF Diesel S has the same standard engine as the road-going version.

This Jag is one of the finest diesel-powered cars in the market today, not just because of its superior performance compared to the rivals, But also because it is hugely economical as a diesel should be. The XF Diesel S is the perfect compromise.

At the Nurburgring race the car completed 109 laps of the 14-mile track, and went through different weather conditions, and managed to finish the race 10 laps ahead of the nearest rival. It also experienced a glitch-free race, which is sign of the impeccable quality of Jaguar cars these days.

Jaguar supported the Carvell Team by donating the use of its Nurburgring Test Centre for the duration of the race and its build up.
