JLR’s decision to use their new supercharged V6 engine in products other than the F-Type sports car quickly sparked the rumors of an R-version of the Range Rover Evoque. And that was enough reason for auto artist to go and get busy with their Photoshops, and give us an early look of what a high-performance Evoque would look like.

Features anticipated to be on the Evoque R include a larger, wider mouth to provide the supercharger with more fresh air to compress, a sort of spoiler lip, taller side skirts, and presumably a rear diffuser along with a larger roof spoiler. Bigger wheels and sport, lowered suspension will also be included. We hope the designer is wrong about those red bits though. They’re ghastly and kinda ruin the whole thing.

Making the Evoque R makes complete sense for JLR. The fancy crossover proved to be a massive hit. A high performance version will be even more appealing.
