Milltek Sport announced launch of a new performance exhaust system for the Toyota GT86 sports car. Also suitable for the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, this system offers a remarkable power gain and a sporty soundtrack, and all in all enhances the car’s already amazing driving experience. The tailpipes look a bit unnecessarily big though.
At 63.5mm, they are actually 15 per cent larger than the stock unit, but the whole system is lighter than the OEM setup. Two systems will be available upon launch; a secondary cat-back design that is some 4.75kg (23%) lighter, and a a primary cat-back design that saves more than 8kg (27%) over the standard part.
As for the power increase, the first setup – secondary cat-back – is good for a gain of 7.2hp (4%) and 4Nm (2%), while the full-fay stem will offer 11.9hp (6.6%) and 16Nm (7.7%). Now that’s going to make a difference int he way the car feels to drive.
The full system will cost you £866.06 which is a lot for exhausts, but you will be enjoying it big time every time you hit the gas and hear it sing!
