The new Opel/Vauxhall Adam is already in Paris getting acclimated to the French capital in preparation for its big debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. The car will then go on sale early next year, which is why they will announce pricing and open the order books at the show. Opel/Vauxhall have also planned an impressive display reflecting the Adam’s customisation possibilities.

Named after the founder of Opel brand, Adam is a new take on small city cars, a segment Opel refers to as ‘ fashion-led A-sector.’ It will offer three trim levels, or moods, of JAM (fashionable/colorful), GLAM (elegant/sophisticated) and SLAM (racy/sporty), and almost limitless personalization options.

Engine-wise, the Adam will be offered with a choice of three efficient ecoFLEX four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.2-litre 70PS, plus a choice of 1.4-litre engines with either 87PS or 100PS. All will be available with optional Start/Stop technology and will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

Another great features of the little car is the ‘My Media’ infotainment system which integrates the owner’s smartphone with the car making internet-based applications available from the facia-mounted touch screen. It works with both iOS and Android-based systems.

Visitors to the show will be able to browse all options and create their own Adam using interactive stations.
