This is by far and away the most interesting car from Toyota’s ‘Dream Build’ collection for 2012 SEMA. Called the DragQuoia, it is based on a Toyota Sequoia full size SUV, turned into a dragster by NHRA driver Antron Brown. The DragQuoia has 650+ horsepower, and a child seat!
This awesome family dragster has a TRD-tuned engine featuring supercharger and nitrous, as well as a custom chassis and 21.5-inch wide rear tires. They have also removed over 1,600 lbs. of weight by taking out, well, almost everything.
Brown reckons this car runs the quarter-mile in nine to 10 seconds. “It’s…a special vehicle with a little hint of NHRA twisted all the way in it, with a lot of horsepower,” Brown said. “It’s fast…from my house to the grocery store!”
The cabin now has four individual racing seats plus a child seat, all with five-point racing harness. Safety measures include a full custom roll cage and a tail-mounted parachute. You are still not going to put your child in it, are you?
