In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, from 2012 Pebble Beach Concours, Jay is nowhere to be seen. Instead, Christian von Koenigsegg takes over to give us a brief tour of the Agera R, the first one ever to hit U.S. soil. This 1,160 horsepower hyper car is now available to order in the States for a cool $1.5 million.

Christian believes you can daily drive this super car if you want to. He actually talks sense, you know. The Agera’s chassis is so supple, the ride is good, it can run on bio ethanol, it is easy to get in and out of, and in about 10 seconds you can turn it into a roadster because the roof comes off and you can store in a purpose-built slot under the bonnet. On the downside, it’s not very practical, the visibility is not very good, and everybody thinks you are a dork if you go shopping in it!
