Here we go, the first review of the new Aston Martin, brought to you by AutoExpress. The first question Jack Rix tries to answer is what’s on everybody’s mind: is the Vanquish a new car? It looks very similar to the DBS, it has the same engine, and the interior is also pretty much identical to the old car. The fact is, the Vanquish is a new Aston in the same way that Porsche 991 is a new 911.

It’s all about evolution, finding something that works and sticking to it.

The Vanquish comes with lots of new and amazing details, so it will definitely feel brand-new. It gets a more powerful V12 with 570 horsepower, a lavish exterior made almost entirely out of carbon fiber, and new touchscreen button with haptic feedback as well as a new navigation system inside the cabin.
