Koenigsegg one 1 2 at New Details Emerge On Koenigsegg One:1

Swedish super car maker Koenigsegg is keeping busy these days, working on a new Agera S model, and a super special edition of the car known as the One:1. Now new details emerge revealing why this version of the Agera R is called One:1.

That is not because it’s a one-off. It isn’t. Koenigsegg is reportedly making 5 units of it, mainly for China. The car is called One:1 because of its astonishing power to weight ratio – 1 horsepower for every 1 kg of weight. It is a tad lighter than the standard Agera, but even so, it has to boast something like 1,300 hp for that name to make sense.

In comparison the standard Agera, holder of a couple of world records for fastest acceleration and speed runs, makes 1,140 hp. How exactly Koenigsegg is going to extract another 200 hp out of that twin turbo V8 we don’t know, but we are glad that the number of cars with over 1,200 hp is growing by the minute!

Agera One-:1 is in early stages of development and no launch date has been set yet.
