John Hennessey Shows Off His Ford Focus ST HP300

The owner of Hennessey Performance tuning center John Hennessey is a brilliant businessman. He knows in order to convince his customer a new product is worth trying, first he has to use it himself.So these days John is daily driving the Ford Focus HPE300, a tuned version of Ford’s new hot hatch, built as an example of what can be done for this practical little hatchback.

In this video John Hennessey discusses his views on small, fast cars and this Focus in particular, and explains some of the mods his engineers have designed for the Focus to make it more exciting for the boss:

This Focus ST is fitted with a remapped ECU and a bespoke cold air intake system, as well as a Magnaflow exhaust system. These changes add 30 more horsepower to the engine’s output, and make driving the car a lot more fun – at least according to John. He knows what he’s talking about. After all, John Hennessey is the guy who came up the superb Venom GT. If he is impressed with this car, it must be something special.
