Well, looks like that elaborate Miami presentation worked wonders for Lamborghini, as they’ve managed to sell all Aventador Roadster allocations until the summer of 2014. That is a remarkable achievement, because we are talking about a car with a base price of 357,000 Euro (~480,000 USD).

Most of the orders for the Aventador Roadster must have come from rich cities with warm weather like Miami, because you can leave the roof off all year long. And that’s a good thing, because don’t really want to deal with this car two-piece removable carbon roof. It is far better than the Murcielago’s, but still a bit of a faff.

The two-part roof is made of carbon fiber and weighs only 6 kg. These two parts are removable and can be stored in the front luggage compartment.

Aventador Roadster is one of the fastest drop-top cars in the world, powered by a 6.5 liter aspirated V12 generating 700 hp, with an ISR 7-speed gearbox and push-rod suspension. It is capable doing up to 350 km/h.
