Now that the suspects of the Boston bombing terrorist attack are in custody – one of them is actually dead – the story of what went down during that last night is being told, and boy does it sound like a movie. Oddly enough, the real hero of this story is, well, Mercedes Benz!

Alright, let us elaborate. You see, after the FBI identified the suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Chechnyan brothers were desperately trying to leave town. Sources say they were on their way to New York to detonate more bombs – the very bombs that exploded later that night during the first shootout in Watertwon. In their quest to escape, the Tsarnevs carjacked a Chinese man and his Mercedes ML350, not knowing that his car was equipped with Mercedes mBrace system, which among other features offers a tracking system.

The terrorists held the Chinese Mercedes owner, Danny, hostage for 90 minutes until they stopped at a gas station. When one of the brothers was paying for the fuel, Danny manged to escape. He then alerted the cops and mBrace people to start tracking his car. That led to the Laurel Street firefight that killed Tamerlan and eventually busted Dzhokhar.

So there you had it people of Boston. Thank you Mercedes mBrace!
