The SEMA show in Las Vegas is a place where crazy ideas are appreciated and cherished. That is why it doesn’t really surprise us that for this year’s event someone decided to drop a NASCAR V8 racing engine into a classic 1965 Ford Mustang. It is actually quite interesting.

This 710-hp 1965 Mustang is a work of Ring Brothers, and it is not as daft as it may first sound. The car might look like a ’65 Mustang, but the body panels is said to be crafted from carbon fiber. It also features billet aluminum details, and judging by the drawing they’ve released, the design is pretty special as well.

This car is actually rather sophisticated. It is not really a restomod, and we’re not even sure it is going to work for more than 10 minutes without blowing up. But we adore the idea of having a beautiful classic car such as the Mustang, with a mega horsepower modern engine.

More on Ring Brothers’ “Blizzard” 1965 Mustang closer to the SEMA show.
