Volkswagen took to Beijing to reveal the new face-lifted version of the Touareg SUV ahead of its summer launch in Europe. The 2015 model is thoroughly revised, featuring new styling details, upgraded trim levels, and of course, enhanced efficiency.

You can tell the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg apart from the old model by the virtue of its larger bi-xenon headlights and new grille at the front, and new rear diffuser, LED taillights, and dual tailpipes at the back. It also gets new wheel designs and side mirrors. In short, the new Touareg looks sleeker and smoother than the previous generation.

In terms of technology the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg stands head and shouldes above its predecessor, boasting an automatic post-collision braking system, bi-xenon headlights and a coasting function on the eight-speed automatic gearbox. What’s more, you get an optional ADC automatic distance control with radars and stuff.

The engine lineup for the 2015 Touareg includes a 3.0 liter V6 unit 204 Ps and 258 Ps power outputs, and a V8 diesel with 340 Ps. Petrol units include a 250 Ps V6 and a 360 Ps V8 for the global market, while Europe will get a V6 Hybrid with a total output of 380 Ps and maximum torque of 580 Newton metres, and average fuel consumption of 8.2 liters per 100 km.
