Mercedes-Benz and AMG are, for the 5th year in a row, the official automotive sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival, which is how they manages to secure such a prominent spot to display their latest production model, the Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe.

The high-performance coupe sits on a six meter high specially created Cannes-themed display that mimics a giant film strip in front of Hotel InterContinental Carlton Cannes.

The installation has an enormous LED wall, but it doesn’t show any movies. Rather, visitors will get a look into the world of AMG. Not sure if anybody’s going to be interested in that, what with all the movie stars around, and the topless beaches in walking distance!

Here’s a few pictures of the 585 horsepower Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe on display at Cannes. Also, there is a shot of the Expendables crew rolling into Cannes on a tank. This must have been Arnold’s idea.
