BMW announced the launch of a one-off BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition at the annual event in Pebble Beach. The special model will be auctioned off by Gooding & Company, with all proceeds going to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The one of a kind BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition will be distinguished by its unique BMW Individual Frozen Grey Metallic paint job. The interior features Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery with BMW i Blue stitching.

This car will showcase a number of new equipment never seen before in America, including laser headlights, pending government approval, BMW i8 Display key as well as the first BMW Charging Station.

The feature bidders will be most interested in will be the “Concours d’Elegance Edition” laser etched in the interior of this i8, hinting at the fact that it’s a one-off. Those technology features are nice, but this is what they can show off with!

Mechanically and electronically, BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition will be standard, meaning it comes with an electric motor on the front axle and a 1.5-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder gasoline engine on the rear, propelling the i8 for 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and to a top speed of 155 miles per hour.
