Lamborghini will soon retire the Gallardo Super Trofeo race car and replace with a racing version of the Huracan. They have wrapped the development work and are now testing the new car on the track, which means it is probably a good time to start teasing it.

So they released this teaser picture of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo wearing a jungle camouflage wrap. Not sure to make of that. Perhaps they wanted to imply that Huracan ST is a weapon. It certainly looks like a deadly weapon, what with the new fascia featuring a large air intake and mesh grille.

If the picture was a bit less dark, we would also see a large air splitter at the front, and a big fixed rear wing. Wide arches should another part of the racing treatment to make room for the Super Trofeo’s fat slick tires. Other notable features would be the stripped-out cabin with only a racing seat, a steering wheel, a roll cage, and a digital display.

Technical specifications of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo are yet to be released. The car is being readied for next season of Blancpain Super Trofeo Series.
