Turns out the Arabs haven’t snatched all Gemballa Mirage GT models the German tuner has built. At least one of them has ended up in America, and it’s now been spotted, for the first time, out and about in Beverly Hills. The Mirage GT is a highly modified, almost bespoke, version of Porsche Carrera GT.

In this video you can take a close look at this one of a kind blue and black Gemballa Mirage GT as it leaves a gas station and marvel at its superb V10 soundtrack:

That sound comes from a V10 engine initially developed for Le Mans racing. The Carrera GT was the first and only time Porsche used this motor in a road car. Gemballa took it in with 620 horsepower and boosted it to 670 horsepower, just so it would match the visual modifications they’d come up for the car. Those mods include more aggressive bumpers and skirts, extra tailpipes, larger wing, and a iconic roof scoop.
