It is only natural for the French car makers Peugeot and Citroen to make the most of their home motor show in Paris. That is why they are bringing this year a great number of concepts and design studies to the Paris Motor Show, Citroen C1 Urban Ride Concept being one of them.
As the name suggests, this concept is based on the Citroen C1 city car. But you have to ponder the ‘Urban Ride’ part a bit more deeply to understand what it means. Apparently, it means a sub-compact crossover; something that isn’t really a crossover, but has SUV-inspired styling features to “underline its character and strong nature.”
SUV-like features of the Citroen C1 Urban Ride includes 15mm higher ground clearance than the hatchback, plus wheel arch and bumper elements that give it a roughty-toughty look – well, sort of.
Citroen C1 Urban Ride Concept will be displayed in Paris in two versions, 5-door and Airscape. The Airscape concept has the biggest roof opening in its class. Another interesting Citroen concept you might want to take a look at is the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L.
