We have shown you plenty of the BMW M4 Coupe in the exclusive color that is Austin Yellow. Now let’s check out the new Convertible version of the sports car in this color in this series of live photos brought to you by the good folks at BMW Abu Dhabi.
Boasting a three-piece folding hardtop that is lighter and more rigid than that of the previous generation, BMW M4 Convertible mixes the fun driving a pure sports car with the thrill of alfresco motoring. BMW engineers have worked hard to ensure the lack of the roof won’t affect the car’s driving experience; at lest not drastically.
BMW M4 Convertible is powered by the same 430 horsepower twin-turbo straight-six engine you find in the hardtop and can be ordered with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, on to a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The cabrio also gets the same M goodies as the coupe, including suspension, brakes, and the all-important trick differential. These bits enable the car to go through corners like nothing else. Granted, the open-top version may not have the finesse of the coupe in this aspect, but the difference is minuscule and not noticeable unless you are a seasoned racing driver.
