Car makers are trying to reveals as many new models as they can before the Holidays arrive. The latest German model to be announced for 2015 launch is a new version of the Audi RS3 super-hot-hatch packing 367 horsepower.

2015 Audi RS3 is powered by the same old five-cylinder engine you find in a number of Audi models, but here it is in its most powerful setting ever, generating 367PS and 465Nm. Combine that with faster-shifting S tronic twin-clutch gearbox and a faster-reacting quattro all-wheel-drive, and you have a family hatchback that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. That’s 911-busting performance.

Of course, all Audi RS quattros are fast and powerful beasts, but most of them lack that special driving feel you get from a true and real sports car. To make sure the new Audi RS3 won’t lose any handling points in comparison tests, the engineers have revised the quattro system in this model. Depending on driving style and the coefficient of friction, it can send between 50 and 100 percent of the available torque to the rear axle. The electronic stability system is also re-calibrated.

The 1,520 kg hot hatchback still looks pretty serious, and pretty recognizable thanks to those typical Audi styling features. The new version can be ordered with high-end features such as sport bucket seats, MMI navigation plus, carbon engine cover, and above all, carbon ceramic brakes. All these bits are of course jolly good, but they will drive the price of the RS3 to unreachable heights for most people.
