Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Set for Geneva Debut

Aston Martin Vantage GT3 600x355 at Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Set for Geneva Debut

Aston Martin released last night a teaser video, announcing the launch of yet another hard-core version of the Vantage at the next Geneva Motor Show. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be based on the V12 version, and is set to be the most extreme road car the Gaydon-based company has ever made.

Details of Aston Martin Vantage GT3 are unknown at the moment, but sources close to the company say this most aggressive of Astons will be packing close to 600 horsepower, and benefit from a number GT3-inspired racing paraphernalia such as a huge rear wing and a massive front splitter.

The car will also boast wider front and rear tracks, stiffened suspension, better brakes, and upgraded cooling system with a sizable bonnet scoop. Semi-slick tires wrapped around lightweight rims may also be on the cards. So it is fair to say that Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is aimed straight at cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 and Ferrari 458 Speciale.

The combination of lighter weight (up to 100 kg) and more power than the standard V12 Vantage will give the GT3 much greater performance than its ordinary siblings. But will that be enough to drive customers away from the German and Italian brands? The Aston is cuter for sure, but it’s playing its beauty card for years now. Nobody seems to care anymore…
