Audi UK is in a bit of a hurry to get the new R8 out the factory, into the showrooms, and then out the forecourts and into your driveway! They just announced the official pricing for the 2016 Audi R8 in the British market, where the car starts from £119,500.

That is what you have to pay for the base V10 model which packs a healthy 540 horsepower and comes, compared to the old model, with a slightly revised looks featuring new bumpers, lights and air intakes. The new model also features a fantastic new interior with a virtual cockpit system and minimalistic dash which is frankly the best part of the new R8.

2016 Audi R8 also comes as a V10 Plus model with an impressive 610 horsepower and a price tag of £137,500. The base model will be launched as soon as May, but to get the Plus version you have to wait for late 2015. But it’s worth it, because check out these performance figures: 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, 0-124mph in 9.9 seconds, top speed 205mph, combined MPG 23.9!

Both new R8s also feature direct and indirect injection and Cylinder on Demand technology linked to latest start-stop system, latest quattro all-wheel-drive system with variable torque control, and new equipment such as Audi drive select, Audi connect and front/rear park assist. There is also an electric e-tron version which will most likely launch in 2016.
