Wrapping is considered by many a low-level tuning trend often resulting in ghastly looking cars in gold or chrome. But the roots of wrapping is in the world of motorsport. You can’t paint all those logos and colors on the cars, can you? So you use stickers. This Ferrari 458 Challenge wrapped by Impressive Wrap is a case in point.

IW has come up with this design for the Ferrari 458 Challenge from scratch, and they’ve done a pretty good job considering they had to work within the confinements of rules and regulations, and also sponsor directives. The base for this car was white and they decided to keep it that way, but garnish it with red accents and stripes, as well as grey inserts to give the whole thing a more classy look.

This Ferrari 458 Challenge, which appears to be the Evoluzione version given that large rear wing, can be used in a variety of racing series, including Ferrari’s own one-make series, and, with some modifications, FIA GT series. Soon though, the 458 Challenge will be replaced by a racing version of the new Ferrari 488 GTB. It is not clear yet if the new turbo engine will be used in the race car as well, or if they will go back to the naturally aspirated unit.
