While Swedish super car maker Koenigsegg is still reluctant to give us a glimpse of their new Megacar, somebody managed to snap a couple of shots of its rear end. The Koenigsegg Regera was spotted on a trailer, presumably en route to the Geneva Motor Show where it will make its world debut in a few days.

All the evidence suggest Koenigsegg Regera is a revised One:1, probably with a hybrid module added to its powertrain. But if this picture is anything to go by, it boasts a remarkably different design than the existing model. The Regera features a large single-pipe oval central exhaust and a superb looking diffuser, and these alone give it a completely different look than the One:1.

And if you were in any doubt as to the hybrid nature of Koenigsegg Regera, the firm has released this video on Instragram to assure you. It shows a James Bond-style electric port for charging the car’s battery pack.

Koenigsegg Regera will be joined in Geneva by a new version of the Agera called the ‘RS’. Could this too be an electric hybrid?
