First Look: Citroen Aircross Concept

Citroen has been steadily getting its design groove back this past decade, and it now culminates in something wonderfully crazy called the Aircross. Based on the C4 Cactus, Citroen Aircross Concept is designed as an experiment to see how far the envelope can be pushed.

So every bit of the car has its own unique styling touches, from the one of a kind front bumper, to the two-story front grille, wheel arch garnish, door sills, roof bars, and… there is just no way this car ever gets boring. In fact, every time you look at it you find a new detail you had overlooked before.

And it is not just in terms of design that Citroen Aircross Concept boggles the mind. Details are scarce, but the word is this car is a tech-savvy person’s wet dream, boasting several cameras and 3D screens. That’s what you expect from a proper Citroen. It is as if every designer in the firm has a picture of Salvador Dali on their desk and constantly ask themselves what would he do?

In terms of the mechanicals though Citroen Aircross Concept is a very down to earth car, featuring most likely the same 100 PS four-cylinder BlueHDi diesel engine as the C4 Cactus. The car is scheduled for a full reveal later this month.
