Yellow Mansory Mercedes S-Class Spotted in the Wild

A while ago we featured this unique yellow Mansory Mercedes S-Class which we called the bumblebee edition. The car was quite startling to look at in the press pictures Mansory had released, but now it’s been spotted on the road in Geneva, and it looks even more bewildering in the flesh.

Only a few years ago a self-respecting European gentleman could not even think about driving in public in something that looks like this. Nowadays though, things have somewhat changed and it is rather cool to be seen in a car that looks as if doesn’t take itself too seriously. People think you are a fun person.

The Mansory Mercedes S-Class is one of the most serious tuned versions of the German saloon, available with a carefully engineered aero kit and a power package with up to 1000 horsepower. So the reason this car is so interesting is partly due to the contrast its serious character makes with that lively paint job.

Thankfully, they had the good sense to finish the bonnet the roof in clear coated carbon fiber. Otherwise people in Geneva would have mistaken it for a taxi and hail it. That probably wouldn’t make the owner, who’s spent half a million Euro on this thing, feel so good!
