BMW is currently busy putting the finishing touches on the long-awaited and eagerly anticipated BMW M2. But to get your first look at the new M car you don’t have to wait because the guys at Bimmerpost have teamed up with master renderer WildSpeed and created these amazing renderings of the car.

This is pretty much what the new BMW M2 looks like. The only difference between this and the real thing, if there is any difference, will be in some small piece of trim here and there and maybe some accenting. As far as the form is concerned, the shape of the bumpers and sills and stuff, this is it.

These renderings are based on the latest set of spyshots that revealed the M2 in its final production guise. What WildSpeed has done is remove all the camouflage. So yes, that front bumper is indeed going to look like that. Some people may find it controversial, but there is no denying that it gives the little M2 the presence, and confidence, of a much bigger car. You can’t really complain about the rear-end of the car though, as it looks pretty much perfect. We would like a bigger bootlid spoiler, but that’s just us.

Engine-wise, the 2017 BMW M2 will be powered by a version of the existing N55 straight-six turbocharged engine, most likely with an output of around 360 horsepower. Any more than that, and the M2 would be messing with the M3/M4’s market.
