We have been so eagerly waiting for the new C63 AMG Coupe, which will debut in less than a week, that we kind of forgot they will first have to unveil the normal version. So here it is, the all-new Mercedes C-Class Coupe, slated for launch in the Spring of 2016 which makes it a 2017 model.
Now, A lot of people would dismiss this car, without so much as looking at it, as uninteresting because they believe it’s just a two-door version of the C-Class sedan. But the truth is, there is more to the new Mercedes C-Class Coupe than that. The looks are substantially different, especially around the back, and that car has a sportier character on the whole, not mention the tail lights are also all new.
So yes, the 2017 Mercedes C-Class Coupe is a pretty interesting car, even in its basic version. Speaking of which, the car will surely launch with a range of engines boasting various power outputs. But for the time being, Mercedes has only let us in on the details of the C300 version which will also come as a 4MATIC and packs 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. This will be the model they believe that sells best in America.
Other technical highlights of the new C-Coupe include a sophisticated air suspension system, an improved COMAND system with a larger display, Frontbass, Climate control with satellite navigation, and a host of Intelligent Drive technologies that enable the car to be semi-autonomous. They include ATTENTION ASSIST with adjustable sensitivity, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST, DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist, BAS PLUS Brake Assist System, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and PRE-SAFE.
