Just as Mansory is coming to this year’s IAA Frankfurt Motor Show with a whole range of awesome cars, Brabus is putting together a lineup of high-end Mercedes-Benz model for the event. We’ve already looked at the Brabus G63 850, Brabus C63S, and Brabus AMG GT. Now let’s check out the Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4².

Based on the recently released jacked-up G-Wagen, Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4² gets a full upgrade treatment with modified looks, interior and performance. As with other IAA-bound Brabus models, this is not the ultimate version, the best of what they can do, but rather a taster. So the car does not get a meaty power upgrade as is usually the case with Brabus cars, but a modest 80 horsepower boost. That means the V8 engine in the G500 now belts out 500 PS and 710 Nm, making the name a bit more apt.

As for the exterior, Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4² looks substantially different from the standard car thanks to a number of mods, chief among which carbon fiber fender flares, Brabus grille and headlight bezel with integrated LED lights, a hood scoop, and underbody protection as well as Brabus wheels. There is also a set of powered side steps which is a welcome addition. Inside, new leather upholstery in black garnished with red stitching and accents plus sport pedals and Brabus door sills give the cabin a sportier feel.
