We’ve been hearing an awful lot about Cadillac’s new crossover model in the course of 2015, and now the American car maker is ready to show us the first official pictures of it. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will make its formal debut in Dubai this November.

Cadillac has teamed up with fashion brand Public School to promote the new XT5, who will debut the car in its Pre-Fall collection on the runway in Dubai – their first ever international event – and also creating an XT5-inspired capsule collection for the special invited guests at the show.

This is completely relevant since Cadillac XT5 is pitched as a cool and trendy urban crossover with plenty of style and attitude. The replacement for the SRX certainly looks the part, what with the sculpted body panels and all the bling adorning it. But we’re not sure about the name. We realize they had to use the “XT” designation to distinguish the car as a crossover, but attaching a number to that makes the product sound like a cellphone or something. Caddy says that ‘5’ indicates size and position of the vehicle. Official details and specs of the XT5 are yet to be revealed.

“This is a new way for two American brands to join forces, share a passion for design and grow globally,” said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive director of Global Design. “For Cadillac, it gives new meaning to being a patron of the arts.”
