German tuner Startech enjoyed a very successful campaign at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, unveiling a full range of customized British cars to critical acclaim. Now they seem to be following the same recipe for the 2015 IAA with this, the Startech Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Based on the latest and greatest version of the Disco, Startech Land Rover Discovery Sport is a heavily tricked-out SUV featuring a new bodykit, uprated suspension, power upgrade and new wheels. Startech is a subsidiary of Brabus, so all these changes are designed to make the car more sporty. As you would expect, they may rob the car of some of its off-road abilities.
Startech’s Discovery Sport comes with sport lowered suspension and tailor-made 22-inch wheels which, naturally, ruin the car’s off-road performance. On the upside, they give the SUV a much cooler look, especially when combined with the body kit which consists of revised bumpers and sills and elegant aero parts.
Startech Land Rover Discovery Sport is based on the 2.2-liter turbodiesel model onto which the tuner has installed their STARTECH PowerXtra SD22 performance tuning kit. The performance figures along with details of the interior are yet to be revealed.
