Audi Zentrum Frankfurt has on display these days an aggressive yet attractive Audi R8 V10 Plus, the new one. The car is finished in the same shade of black we showed you a while ago in real-life photos. This time though, we have some fancy, and admittedly edited, showroom photos of the car.
We are not big fans of the design of the new R8, but we have to say in this light and with all the extra goodies the Audi R8 V10 Plus features, the thing does look rather tasty. It is serious, yet kind of naughty – like a kinky secretary who wears stockings and suspenders under her black pantsuit!
In reality though, what Audi R8 V10 Plus wears under its formal dress is a 5.2 liter V10 TFSI engine capable of pumping out 610 horsepower. Distributed between all four wheels through a S-tronic transmission and a super clever four-wheel-drive system, that power enables the R8 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
Another part of the new R8 we like quite a bit is the minimalistic interior design with the cool new steering wheel and virtual instrument panel that incorporates all the dials and even the sat nav screen, thus eliminating the need for an unsightly large screen on the dashboard. There is nothing in there to distract you from the job of driving.
