Back in August last year Audi, rather quietly, released a new version of its S8 super sedan with more power than almost all its rivals in the segment. The 2016 Audi S8 Plus deserves more recognition than what it’s getting at the moment, and we’re going to give it some beginning with this gallery.
The black Audi S8 Plus showcased here, on display at Audi Zentrum Frankfurt, features an Exclusive interior featuring the design selection package. It features Alcantara and piano black as well as carbon fiber trimming, nappa leather seats, and red stitching and accents. The main highlights of the equipment include a keypad input system, four-zone deluxe automatic air conditioning, MMI navigation plus with eight-inch display, and LED ambient lighting.
But the main reason why you should consider the Audi S8 Plus over the standard version is the engine. The 4.0 liter TFSI V8 engine in this model is boosted to 605 horsepower with 700 Nm (516.3 lb?ft) of torque. Thanks to the Dynamic Package and quattro system, this two-tonne sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h (189.5 mph). The car also comes with a barely noticeable aero kit consisting of front and rear spoilers. The subtlety is why it’s so cool.
