A Closer Look at Range Rover Evoque Convertible

I know you are all hot for the Geneva Motor Show these days, but let’s take a look back at the Brussels Motor Show from last month, and one of the coolest cars on display there which deserves more attention. It’s the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible in production trim and a hot paint job.

Tell me this here is not serious eye candy! This fire red Range Rover Evoque Convertible is quite possibly the best-looking utility vehicle every designed, and although it’s had a hard birth and we’re still not sure it can find a good place in the market, its very existence is a cause for celebration. It shows there are still people in the car industry who give fund and games a higher priority than common-sense stuff like sales number and production cost.

Mind you, Land Rover has not gone completely nuts. They do realize that an open-top SUV has a limited market and therefore will make only a limited number of Range Rover Evoque Convertible. What’s more, the car has a relatively high price tag which is another reason it may not sell very well. The example you see here is a HSE Dynamic version powered by a 180 PS TD4 diesel engine, and it starts at 51,600 Euros. In fairness though, that price includes a set of totally bitchin’ 20-inch rims!
