The new Audi R8 has not been around that long, but already the German car maker has come up with a special edition for it. Based on the V10 Plus model and dubbed Audi R8 Selection 24h, this limited version pays homage to the race-winning R8 LMS GT3.
So the main people this car is aimed at are those wealthy businessmen or enthusiasts who have a penchant for Audi and a healthy interest in motorsport. Others just won’t get the appeal of this thing. So the customer base for this model will be limited, but that’s OK, because they are only making 24 copies.
The main features of Audi R8 Selection 24h special edition on the exterior include a tricolor paint scheme inspired by that of its racing sibling, incorporating Suzuka grey base, Mythos black detailing, and Misano red accents. This model also gets 20-inch forged aluminium wheels in 10-spoke Y design in gloss black, gloss-finished carbon aero kit, standard sport exhaust system with black pipes, and a fair few ‘R8 24h’ logos.
While mechanically Audi R8 Selection 24h remains faithful to the V10 Plus’s specs (610 Ps, 3.2 seconds to 60 mph, and top speed of 205 mph), inside the cabin it comes with a special treatment including full-leather upholstery and trim in rotor grey with an Alcantara headlining as well as gloss carbon trims.
