In an effort to enhance the appeal of the new Tiguan, Volkswagen announced the launch of a new series of accessories for the 2016 Tiguan. This is interesting, because the new Volkswagen Tiguan already comes in five different trim levels. But, apparently, that’s not enough.

Think of this as a way to personalize and customize your Volkswagen Tiguan – something like the bespoke program luxury car makers offer, only VW’s program costs peanuts. The highlights of the personalization kit include a chrome-look protective strip for the tailgate that costs 75 quid fitted and high-quality aluminium sill trims protect the bodywork and run for £95 fitted. If you want the latter in silver or black, the price rises up to a massive £115!

Other little options available for the accessorized Volkswagen Tiguan include front and rear mud flaps for 85 quid, rubber floor mats 40 quid (plus 30 if you want in the back as well), a choice of basic or luxury carpet mats for 85 pounds, pedal cap set for manual or DSG models, very pricey at £170 fitted. There’s also £40 flexible boot liner complete with hooks (£55), pet partition grille (£210 fitted), roof bars for £193, a bicycle holder for £103, ski and snowboard holder (£195), and a big roof box for £225. A towbar bicycle carrier is also available at £543.
