2017 BMW 5 Series – US Pricing

5 series 20171 600x321 at 2017 BMW 5 Series US Pricing

The official pricing and specs has been announced for the 2017 BMW 5 Series in the American market, and it moves the 5er further up the ladder as an expensive luxury sedan. The cheapest 5 Series you can obtain will set you back $51,200 while the range-topping, taking into account the $995 destination charge, will be close to $60K.

In exchange for these considerable sums of money you do get a pretty good European sedan though, as the 2017 BMW 5 Series is thoroughly improved and upgraded over the previous version. Granted, the car looks even less lust-inducing than its predecessor, but it is a better car what with the weight loss – thanks to aluminum, magnesium, and high-strength steel – the addition of Dynamic Damper Control with Adaptive Mode and Integral Active Steering, and available xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

2017 BMW 5 Series launch in U.S. market with 530i, 530i xDrive, 540i and 540i xDrive models. Later in the spring you will also get BMW M550i xDrive and BMW 530e and 530e xDrive iPerformance models. But as it is, the standard kit on the 5er includes Adaptive LED Headlights, Sport Seats, Active Protection, Fatigue and Focus Alert as well as an 18-inch Double-Spoke Wheels and an Anthracite headliner. Depending on the specs, you can also get a new user interface (iDrive 6.0) including an 8.8” Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster, available Gesture Control, the latest generation of Head-Up Display, Remote 3D View and an improved Voice Control with natural voice input.

Pricelist sans destination charge:

  • BMW 530i: $51,200
  • BMW 530i xDrive: $53,500
  • BMW 540i: $56,450
  • BMW 540i xDrive: $58,750
