You must have heard that making every Veyron costs VW 5 times its price, but I don’t think it’s true because if it was they would never release so many special editions in recent years and they would never ever think of making a new variant, specially a sedan! But apparently they have been thinking of a Veyron-based hyper saloon and they are going to put it on show at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

Or at least that’s what Auto Express says! They have even had it rendered as you see in these pictures. Apart from being four-door, the Royale will be a Veyron underneath and would cost about the same as well. Powered by the same W16 engine with 1000 hp and 1,250Nm of torque output, the Royale might not be as fast as the Veyron, mainly because it’s heavier, but certainly it’ll become the fastest production sedan in the world and will hold this title for a long time. However the production run will be very limited which is OK because thanks to global economy downturn there are not many millionaires left in the world anyway!
