The GT2 contenders in 2010 American Le Mans Series will be facing a tough new competition in form of a Jaguar XKR prepared by Rocketsports Racing! The team is led by Paul Gentilozzi (sounds like a mafia name!) and might seem to be a privateer, but Jaguar backs it in every way.
Although it might appear at this year’s Lime Rock or Mid Ohio Grand Prix, but their 2010 schedule is confirmed for both ALMS and 24 hours of Le Mans. So it is the return of Jaguar to the world class racing! Also we might see samples of this car in some European series sooner than its US debut.
The car uses the brand new AJ133 V8 engine which, this being GT2, will get around 600 horses.

GT2 is really the place to be now… It’ll be great to see Jaguar get back in the game, especially now that they have a car like the XJR that can actually compete…
