Toyota’s own Modellista brand has introduced three different bodykits at once for the new 2010 Toyota Prius in the Japanese market. The kits available in versions 1, 2 and Aero Tourer improve the looks and possibly the car’s already efficient aerodynamics, but they are kinda pointless! Because Prius buyers have no concept of a proper car in the first place, let alone bodykits and tuning and aftermarket products!
Prius is not a car designed to look brilliant, it is form following function and all of its parts have one goal and that’s saving fuel! So no matter how hard you try to improve it, it still won’t be a looker. Specially that Aero Tourer kit which is a bit ishhhh! to be honest! But the most ridiculous modifications are the new 16 inch wheels and the suspension lowering. Apart from the fact that both will make the car more uncomfortable, bigger wheels will hurt fuel economy. So what Modellista has done here is deliberately making the Prius worse!
What a sweet couple of bodykits. Of course we wont be getting these. And I bet any mods made to the Prius will hurt fuel economy.
