Lamborghini Murcielago replacement comes in 2012

2012 lambo murcielago at Lamborghini Murcielago replacement comes in 2012

Lamborghini Murcielago is probably the most important car in the history of the Italian automaker and indeed the car industry. This blend of Latino passion and German engineering has been an absolute success. The Murci and all of its variants always sell like hot cakes despite the very scary price tag because they look and feel and work like nothing else. But the time will eventually come to an end for this hero and there are already some speculations about the next generation of this ultimate supercar which is due 2012.

When Murcielago came out in 2002 replacing the mighty Diablo, a lot of people thought that Audi would ruin the car and kill all the excitement and lunacy with their common sense. But as it turned out, Audi’s only contribution was to make sure that the car is built properly! It had the same flamboyant looks as the Diablo, the same sort of volcanic power and swell noise, but there was also legroom and headroom and gadgets that actually work! And because of all that engineering refinement like four-wheel-drive system or new gearbox and suspension, the performance was more accessible as well. So the result was an absolutely fabulous car, and that raised the standards. You now expect the next Murcielago to blow your mind!

And it probably will! The next car will maintain its wide and low mid-engine layout and it’ll feature an aluminum space frame, another great Audi contribution, for extra agility and strength, it’ll also help with weight reduction. Of course many of the panels will be made of carbon fiber. Then there is the engine, well it’s too soon to say anything about it but given the current V12 which with every new model they manage to extract another 100 hp out of it, it is likely that the 2012 Murcielago will get a new version of this powerplant with horsepower figure near 700.

But the most  important thing about it and indeed every Lamborghini is the way it looks. They have always maintained a radical shape for their top model since the Countach was born so the next one cannot be different! And of course styling has never been an issue for Lambo so that’ll be OK too! ( Don’t take this rendering you see above too seriously, it’s just an artist’s impression) In fact Lamborghini Murcielago replacement can very well be the perfect supercar. Start saving now for 2012… !
