Citroen C3 is an egg-shaped and rather practical hatchback for the families but it has never been as good as its little brother C2. Because, in comparison, C2 offers all of the qualities a small hatchback buyer has in mind and simultaneously it appeals to young petrolheads because it’s affordable and easy to modify. For 2010 Citroen is planning a new fancy looking C3 and this rendering gives an idea about how it would look.

It is still very egg-like! but much much better looking than the current model. Citroen has another compact car coming up, the DS3 which is a concept for the time being but will eventually make it to the production, so while the new C3 may share some of the body lines with it they won’t let the C3 gets in the DS3’s way. DS3 will be more posh and expensive while the facelifted C3 will remain a nice economy hatchback.

Another issue is C3’s variants like the Pluriel, a clever car which has one big flaw and that is the way it looks! Now with the new face if Citroen makes a new Pluriel, it’ll be a fascinating car, again causing troubles for DS3 sales! The normal C3 will come in both 5-door and 3-door formats. A concept version of the 2010 Citroen C3 might appear in the upcoming Frankfurt motor show.
