Audi R8 Spider, the drop top version Audi’s R8 supercar appears at Nurburgring every once in a while to tease people before its official debut at this years Frankfurt Motor Show. The car won’t hit the markets until late 2010, but when it comes out finally it’ll be available with both V8 and V10 engines.

The V10 powered R8 Spider will be capable of 525 hp which makes it one of the most powerful convertibles in the market. The V8 one is not weak too! It’s a bit old but still capable of 420hp. The car will have the four-wheel-drive system and comes with a canvas roof. In the coupe version the engine cover is made of glass so you can a glimpse of that beautiful motor but as you see in these pictures, the Spider model might loose this feature for the sake of the roof’s cubbyhole.
