At this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, Brabus has paid special attention to the smallest member of Daimler family, the Smart Fortwo. They had a tailor made customization program for it, then a high performance Ultimate R model which does zero to 100 in 3.9 seconds and after that, they are introducing the Ultimate High Voltage, an all-electric version of the car!
This being Brabus means their green electric car is not a miserably slow box. So they the lithium-ion batteries in this car are no ordinary ones, they come from Tesla Motors, the famous electric sportscar maker which has recently signed an agreement with Daimler for collaboration in development of their platform. So the lil’ electric Smart has 82 hp and 280nm of torque available right from the cold start at zero rpm!
The High Voltage performance does not sound very fascinating, 0 to 100 in 9.8 second really isn’t sporty at all, but considering the facts that it’s still a city mini-car and it’s electric and it has 18 inch Brabus Monoblock wheels on it, may justify it!
